Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

 

STUDENT INFO

 

Wildcats for Change is partnering with the Oak Ridge Lions Club for a community food drive at the home football game on Friday. Please consider bringing nonperishable food items with you to drop off at the gates at Blankenship Field.

 

Welcome back! All library books checked out before break are due back to the library. Please return or renew them as soon as possible. The library will be closed all day tomorrow, Friday, October 17. Be sure to stop by today to swap out your books and get ready for a reading weekend.

 

 

To remain in compliance with regulations for federal lunch programs, students may NOT have outside food delivered or brought to the building. This includes parent delivery and/or a upperclassman bringing a lunch back from open campus. Students are PROHIBITED from using Door Dash, Uber Eats, or any other food delivery services. The food will be turned away, and money will not be refunded.  ALL students may obtain a free breakfast and lunch this year.

 

Juniors & Seniors with off campus lunch can walk over to First United Methodist Church every Thursday for lunch.

 

CLUB INFO

 

Math Club will meet today for our first official round of Math Madness.  Come to CS227 during lunch ready to compete!

 

The Interact club will be on Monday, October 20 in the amphitheater after school until 4pm.  We will have are having a pumpkin decorating contest to help benefit the angel tree program.  Check the Interact student square for more information.

 

FCA will meet on Friday morning, October 17th, at 7:00 AM!!  We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school.  Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10.  We will dismiss by 7:35.  All are welcome!!!  If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).

Tomorrow is the day to continue your journey into the realms of fantasy! The Dungeons and Dragons Club is ready to welcome you for another exciting session of adventure and imagination.  We meet every Friday from 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM at The Mythic Forge in Dr. Denisar’s room CS329

Every week, our gatherings are packed with thrilling quests, epic role-playing, and creative challenges. Whether you’re a master of spells, a brave warrior, or a cunning rogue, there’s always something new to explore and discover.

 

 

 

 

SENIORS

 

 

Seniors and senior parents, please join us in the amphitheater to learn about the different types of financial aid available to the class of 2026 on October 21, 2025 from 5:30pm-6:30pm
“Financial Aid 101” from the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) explains how to apply for state and federal aid to pay for postsecondary education. TSAC offers webinars and presentations on topics like completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), student eligibility, and state grant and scholarship programs, such as the Tennessee Student Assistance Award (TSAA) and Tennessee HOPE Scholarship.

 

Seniors: please submit your signature for the Class of 2026 senior signature shirt! Go to the Class of 2026 Canvas page and locate the announcement with the link to the assignment. Signatures are due by 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 23. Don’t be left off the Class of 2026 shirt!

 

Senior Steering will be hosting a Senior Cookout on Friday October 17th  after the ACT on the soccer field. We will have hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and desserts. Come for the food, stay for the games and fun!

 

Seniors, you need to make your formal portrait selection for the yearbook.  This year, you get to choose which of your formal photos will be featured in our yearbook. You MUST choose a formal tux or drape photo.  This choice must be made by Monday, October 20th 11:59pm or the yearbook staff will be choosing for you.  If you have not already done this, please follow the instructions posted on parent and student square or in the iNews.  See Mrs. Pryfogle or email her at rgpryfogle@ortn.edu if you have any questions.

 

Seniors: pick up a Jostens graduation supplies packet as you leave the building after the ACT on Friday, October 17. Jostens reps will be in the Main Lobby and Arena Lobby.
