Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

 

STUDENT INFO

 

Wildcats for Change is partnering with the Oak Ridge Lions Club for a community food drive at the home football game on Friday. Please consider bringing nonperishable food items with you to drop off at the gates at Blankenship Field.

 

Attention AP Students: The Fall AP payment window is now open and closes on Friday, October 31st at 11:59pm for all students currently enrolled in a fall or yearlong AP course.  If you begin your AP course in January, you will pay in the spring.  This year all AP exams are $102. The link to register and pay is available to all AP students via Parent/Student Square.

 

Welcome back! All library books checked out before break are due back to the library. Please return or renew them as soon as possible.

 

 

 

CLUB INFO

 

Math Club will meet on THURSDAY this week for our first official round of Math Madness.  Come to CS227 during lunch ready to compete!

 

FBLA will meet after school today in CS347. All members please attend to plan for Trunk or Treat.

 

The Interact club will be on Monday, October 20 in the amphitheater after school until 4pm.  We will have are having a pumpkin decorating contest to help benefit the angel tree program.  Check the Interact student square for more information.

 

FCA will meet on Friday morning, October 17th, at 7:00 AM!!  We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school.  Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10.  We will dismiss by 7:35.  All are welcome!!!  If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).

 

Walk Over Wednesday is at St. Stephen’s Church every Wednesday!  Juniors and Seniors with off campus lunch can enjoy a meal for just $3.  it’s a great deal!  Come enjoy a “homemade meal”.

 

Any current ORHS Sophomore or Junior interested in attending Governor’s School during the Summer 2026, please see the Parent Square announcement or your Grade Level Canvas Page for a list of Governor’s 黄瓜视频 offered by the state and information on how to apply. To be considered for Governor’s School, you must adhere to the deadlines set by ORHS when applying.

 

 

SENIORS

 

Seniors: please submit your signature for the Class of 2026 senior signature shirt! Go to the Class of 2026 Canvas page and locate the announcement with the link to the assignment. Read the instructions carefully—no symbols, numbers, etc. If you would like to see the previous year’s shirt and what the names look like, come by and see Mrs. Ledden in CS347. Signatures are due by 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 23.

 

Senior Steering will be hosting a Senior Cookout on Friday October 17th  after the ACT on the soccer field. We will have hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and desserts. Come for the food, stay for the games and fun!

 

 

Seniors, you need to make your formal portrait selection for the yearbook.  This year, you get to choose which of your formal photos will be featured in our yearbook. You MUST choose a formal tux or drape photo.  This choice must be made by Monday, October 20th 11:59pm or the yearbook staff will be choosing for you.  If you have not already done this, please follow the instructions posted on parent and student square or in the iNews.  See Mrs. Pryfogle or email her at rgpryfogle@ortn.edu if you have any questions.

 

Seniors: pick up a Jostens graduation supplies packet as you leave the building after the ACT on Friday, October 17. Jostens reps will be in the Main Lobby and Arena Lobby.
