In 4-H members choose to explore one of the 26 projects available. Topics range from cooking, wildlife, leadership, chickens, sewing, robotics, veterinary science, and electric. Students will practice their acting skills while learning the basics of theater and performing in an open, fun environment. Students will also learn about the behind-the-scenes aspects of theater. It consists of a group of officers and classroom representatives elected by their homerooms. They meet once a month before school to cover Student Council business. The Student Council provides funds for student-based activities and\u00a0 scholarships for some student field trips. In the past, they sponsor the 7th and 8th grade Spring dance and the 5th and 6th grade Fall Celebration.\u00a0 As a fundraiser, they also sponsor a student\/staff basketball game held at the end of the year. RMS Student Council will meet once a month on designated Wednesdays 7:05-7:30am.\u00a0 RMS STUCO Officers and Grade Level Helpers will meet to discuss and assist in school activities such as tours, grade level celebrations, Ram Perk rewards, and &#8220;Pep Club&#8221; fan section for home football games.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sponsor<\/strong>: <a href=\"mailto:ddavis@ortn.edu\">Dana Davis<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meets:<\/strong> Monthly on designated Wednesday mornings from 7:05-7:30 am<\/p>\n<p><strong> Open to:<\/strong> Grades 5-8.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"red\">Technology Student Association<\/h2>\n<p>TSA enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in STEM, whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs. TSA competes at the regional, state, and national level. TSA season runs from September to April with a national competition in late June.\u00a0 This club requires an application, interview, and teacher recommendations. This club is limited to 20 qualifying students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sponsors<\/strong>: <a href=\"mailto:sgburnette@ortn.edu\">Sandra Burnette <\/a>&amp; <a href=\"mailto:blleftwich@ortn.edu\">Bryson Leftwich\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Meets:Tuesdays from 2:45-5:30 (may require additional meeting times)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Open to:<\/strong> Grades 5-8.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"red\">WRAM<\/h2>\n<p>The students on the WRAM staff produce a live broadcast of school news and announcements each day.\u00a0 The staff rotates over the four marking periods with three students participating each quarter. The members of the WRAM staff anchor the broadcast, read the news, select the music, and operate the camera.
