All students new to Oak Ridge Schools need to register at their respective schools Monday, July 5, 2021 through Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. \u00a0\u00a0Parents who pre-registered kindergartners in May also need to complete the registration process on those dates.<\/p>\n

Registration for new students in grades 9 -12 will be made by appointment ONLY.\u00a0 For more information regarding high school registration, please contact the registrar at 865-425-9524. Information necessary for new student registration includes the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Child\u2019s Birth Certificate (a certified copy for school records, not<\/u> the hospital copy or mother\u2019s copy or officially acceptable evidence of date of birth at the time of registration- TSBA 6.203)<\/li>\n
  2. Child\u2019s Social Security Number (optional)<\/li>\n
  3. Health Insurance Provider<\/li>\n
  4. The Tennessee Department of Health Certificate of Immunization available from your doctor or Health Department consisting of two parts:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Immunizations<\/u> \u2013 A Tennessee Department of Health Certificate of Immunization form showing the complete dates (month, day, and year) immunizations were administered.<\/p>\n

    Health Examination<\/u> \u2013 A physical examination is required for all children entering Tennessee Schools (K-12).\u00a0 Oak Ridge Schools require a physical examination current since January 1 of the year the student will enter kindergarten. Students entering the 7th<\/sup> grade will also need to provide proof of the T-dap immunization.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Grades 1-12 only – Provide the name, address, and phone number of the school(s) where your child previously attended or provide report cards or withdrawal forms.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      For additional information, parents and\/or students should contact their respective school or the Oak Ridge Schools Pupil Services Department at 425-9026.<\/p>\n

      Elementary students who will be returning to the same schools they attended last year will not<\/u> have to register at school.\u00a0 Students who have moved to another Oak Ridge school should contact the new school<\/u>.\u00a0 All parents and pupils will be notified of room assignment by mail before Wednesday, July 28th, the first day of school.<\/p>\n

      HIGH SCHOOL ORIENTATION<\/u><\/p>\n

      Freshman orientation and new student orientation will be held on Monday, July 26th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Freshman will report from 7:45 a.m. to 10:30 am.\u00a0 All other new students will need to report from 2:00 \u2013 3:00 PM.<\/p>\n

      MIDDLE SCHOOL ORIENTATION<\/u><\/p>\n

      Jefferson Middle School <\/u>– An orientation program for incoming fifth grade students will be held in the Jefferson Little Theater on Tuesday, July 27th, starting at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 10:30 a.m.\u00a0Bus service will not be provided. A new student orientation for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students attending Jefferson Middle School will be held on Monday, July 26th starting at 1:00 p.m. \u2013 3:00 p.m.\u00a0 Students attending this orientation should report to the guidance department.<\/p>\n

      Robertsville Middle School<\/u> \u2013 An orientation program for incoming fifth graders and 6th<\/sup>, 7th<\/sup> and 8th students new to Robertsville will be held on Monday, July 26th, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for students whose last name begin with A-L and from 10:30 -12:00 for students whose last name begin with M-Z.\u00a0 The orientation will be held in the auditorium.
