{"id":3949,"date":"2020-05-11T07:21:10","date_gmt":"2020-05-11T11:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ortn.edu\/jefferson\/?p=3949"},"modified":"2020-05-11T07:21:10","modified_gmt":"2020-05-11T11:21:10","slug":"student-locker-and-jms-material-exchange","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ortn.edu\/jefferson\/2020\/05\/11\/student-locker-and-jms-material-exchange\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Locker and JMS Material Exchange"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Below you will find details regarding our\u00a0<em>Student Locker Exchange<\/em>\u00a0<em>Event<\/em>\u00a0happening at JMS during the week of May 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0\u2013 22<sup>nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 We will have collections set up in our bus\/car loops for retrieval of student locker items and return of student laptop devices and other items belonging to JMS (ex: library books, uniforms&#8230; ).<\/p>\n<p>Please see details below:<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>When do we come?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday, May 18 \u2013 Friday, May 22\n<ul>\n<li>8:00am \u2013 12:00pm<\/li>\n<li>1:00pm \u2013 4:00pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Where do we come?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0&amp; 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0grade students will enter campus on Cafeteria side (near softball field).<\/li>\n<li>7<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0&amp; 8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0grade students will enter campus on Gym side (near football field).<\/li>\n<li>We will have signs throughout campus to assist you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>How will this work?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tables will be set up in both car and bus loops.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the loop designated for your child\u2019s grade level, as outlined above.<\/li>\n<li>No parent\/child will exit their vehicle at any time.<\/li>\n<li>Pull up and place the following items on the designated tables:\n<ul>\n<li>Student device, including the laptop, bag, and charger.<\/li>\n<li>Library books<\/li>\n<li>Athletic uniforms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Staff will bring the following items to your vehicle:\n<ul>\n<li>Personal items from lockers\/PE lockers\n<ul>\n<li>Any items not picked up at the end of the week will be taken to Goodwill.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Band or Orchestra instruments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Clinic \u2013 Medications\n<ul>\n<li>If your child has any medication in the Clinic, Nurse Cousins will be set up in front of the school (near the flagpole) to distribute.\u00a0 You will need to sign a form when you pick up and we will be taking safety precautions throughout this process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>2019-20 Yearbook Purchases\n<ul>\n<li>Yearbooks will be on sale for $20 each and\u00a0<em>we can accept cash only<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>What is JMS doing to ensure safety during this exchange?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The safety and health of our students, families, and staff are our number one priority so it is crucial that we all follow the guidelines detailed in this message.<\/li>\n<li>Please do not exit your vehicle at any time.<\/li>\n<li>Our staff will be wearing PPE including gloves and masks throughout the entire process.<\/li>\n<li>Staff will also be using hand sanitizer and abiding by social distancing guidelines at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are looking forward to see you all throughout the week of May 18<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 If you have any questions about this process, please reach out to Jenifer Laurendine at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jllaurendine@ortn.edu\">jllaurendine@ortn.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please remember to visit our website at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ortn.edu\/jefferson\/\">https:\/\/www.ortn.edu\/jefferson\/<\/a>\u00a0to view our\u00a0<em>JMS Spring Open House and Orientation\u00a0<\/em>information!<em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>You will find information about courses, teachers, and also a video on how to register for electives.\u00a0 A reminder that students are to have their electives chosen in Skyward no later than May 18<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Principal \u2013 Mr. Phil Cox \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:pcox@ortn.edu\">pcox@ortn.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Vice Principal \u2013 Mr. Chris Layton \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:calayton@ortn.edu\">calayton@ortn.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dean of Students \u2013 Mrs. Jenifer Laurendine &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jllaurendine@ortn.edu\">jllaurendine@ortn.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Instructional Technology Coach \u2013 Mr. Ben Fowler \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:bjfowler@ortn.edu\">bjfowler@ortn.edu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Below you will find details regarding our\u00a0Student Locker Exchange\u00a0Event\u00a0happening at JMS during the week of May 18th\u00a0\u2013 22nd.\u00a0 We will have collections set up in our bus\/car loops for retrieval of student locker items and return of student laptop devices and other items belonging to JMS (ex: library books, uniforms&#8230; ).
