In the 6<sup>th<\/sup> grade program, boys and girls will be separated, but will watch both videos. The program will be during Physical Education Class on the following dates: 3\/4\/2019 and 3\/5\/2019. The students will be shown the following two short videos on puberty for boys and puberty for girls. The links for the videos are:<\/p>\n<p><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dEBXr-d8dXo\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dEBXr-d8dXo<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n<p><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0RrXAhtObBI\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0RrXAhtObBI<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Oak Ridge Board of Education also approved a Human Sexuality program for students in grade 8, providing age-appropriate information on the emotional, social, and physical aspects of growing up. Information on sexually transmitted diseases, refusal skills, abstinence and HIV-AIDS is also included. Students will remain in the same classroom, unlike when boys and girls were separated in the 6<sup>th<\/sup> grade program. The program will be provided during Physical Education Class on the following dates: 3\/4\/2019 and 3\/5\/2019. Tennessee law <strong>mandates<\/strong> that we have parental permission for students to be involved in this class.
