We need to replenish those supplies.\u00a0 We are proud to have been able to fund Eagle Labs at no cost to the students. The needed non-consumable items will be used in the library multiple ways by both students individually and in whole class settings.\u00a0\u00a0 All these items are available for use by the student population at JMS.\u00a0 With your donations of items, we can continue to supply the students with materials support their learning.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Legos<\/strong>: We have a Lego wall and need Legos for building.\u00a0 We use the wall as a creative space and for green screen\/stop motion filming.\u00a0 With the donation of more Legos, we would be able to do some Lego marble challenges.\u00a0 We appreciate used Lego donations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coloring Books<\/strong>: We have coloring supplies, but lack awesome coloring books.\u00a0 We are looking for donations of coloring books for middle school age students.\u00a0 The more complicated and intricate the better!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Batteries<\/strong>: Many of our Eagle Lab items use batteries.\u00a0 We need always need AA, AAA and 9 Volt batteries to keep our items running for students to use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Play Dough<\/strong>: We use it for modeling and just for fun.\u00a0 It is always popular and useful.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Perler Beads<\/strong>: Perler beads are a popular low-tech item in the library.\u00a0 We always in need of more beads and the accessories for these beads.\u00a0 We love and need more bead tweezers and square boards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Silhouette Cameo Supplies<\/strong>: Our Silhouette Cameo is very popular.\u00a0 Students are learning to design and produce vinyl products. \u00a0\u00a0We always need more vinyl sheets, tools for removing and applying our finished products, and transfer paper.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Thank you,<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Haverkamp<\/p>\n<p>JMS Librarian<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"blue\" style=\"text-align: center\">Who Is Robert Moss?<\/h1>\n<p>Born and raised in Knoxville and educated at the University of Tennessee, Robert Moss joined the Oak Ridge Schools in 1966 as a social studies teacher at Oak Ridge High School. He served as the assistant principal of Jefferson Junior High School from 1968 to 1973. In 1974, he became Jefferson&#8217;s principal, a position that he held until his retirement in 2000. During his 33 years of leadership and service in the Oak Ridge Schools, the system became one of the top-achieving school districts in the State of Tennessee and the southeastern United States. This excellence continues to the present.<\/p>\n<p>A teacher, lifelong learner, book lover, and leader at heart, Mr. Moss inspired an entire generation of Jefferson students and teachers to academic excellence. He strongly supported the Jefferson Middle School Library as a place of exploration, inquiry, and scholarship. His legacy continues to shape Jefferson students and teachers today.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>\u201cThe function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.
