EOC Spring Testing will take place:<\/p>\n
Thursday, April 16th<\/sup> (Eng 9 & Eng 10),\u00a0 Tuesday, April 21st<\/sup> (Eng 9 & Eng 10),\u00a0 Thursday, April 23rd <\/sup>(Alg 1, Alg 2, & Geometry),\u00a0 Tuesday, April 28th <\/sup>(Biology & U.S. History).<\/p>\n Things to Know: If you are enrolled in the tested subject area, you will begin testing at 7:50 a.m.<\/p>\n If you are NOT<\/u> enrolled in the tested subject (s) for that day, you may arrive after testing concludes.<\/p>\n If you do not have a test and arrive to school before regular classes begin, you will report to the food court and remain until testing is over.\u00a0 All classes will meet on an abbreviated schedule each day following testing. Attendance to these classes is mandatory<\/u> for all students.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Take a page. Grab a marker. Make something unexpected. Blackout Poetry Contest\u00a0\u2014 happening in the library. Stop by for free supplies, a quick explainer, and a shot at some great prizes. Enter by April 17.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n All students who have registered to take an AP exam this year must report to Roane State\u2019s Goff Building with their device on Wednesday, April 22nd anytime between 2:00pm and 4:30pm to prepare their device for upcoming testing. This process should take approximately 10-15 minutes. To expedite this process, restart your computer before you arrive so it can perform updates.<\/p>\n If you missed the the ORHS Business Academy opening yesterday, you still have a chance show your support for these young entrepreneurs at our Business Expo on Thursday, April 16th<\/sup> or online anytime until May 1st<\/sup>\u00a0 at orhs-businessacademy.com<\/a>. Some products will also be on sale at lunch time in the main lobby.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Mark your calendar for Masquers\u2019 Atomic Acts on Thursday, April 16th<\/sup> at 7pm, with a musical theatre opening from our ORHS Theatre Class. It will be a dramatic evening of scenes from plays that will have you laughing and crying with direction from Amy Uptgraft and student assistant directors. Student actors will bring stories to life as they work on building characters and the art of storytelling.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n How high can you count? Head over to the showcase outside the library\u00a0and put your math skills\u00a0to the test! We’ve filled it with PEEPS\u00a0and the student with the closest guess wins ALL the candy inside!\u00a0That’s right \u2014 every. single. piece. Here’s what you should know:<\/p>\n Tickets are $40 this week (they will be $50 next week).\u00a0 Sales will take place during third block at the Arena Concession Stand.\u00a0 Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.\u00a0 Payment can be made with cash or check (made out to ORHS); no card 1payments accepted.\u00a0 Only upperclassmen may purchase tickets.\u00a0 Freshmen and sophomores may attend as a guest of an upperclassman, but cannot purchase tickets themselves.\u00a0 Outside guest forms will be available at the ticket sales counter.\u00a0 Please see Mrs. Royster with any questions!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Want to represent your fellow student body? Do you want to suggest ideas on how to make your school environment a better place?
