Fire Safety Announcement-Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a gas you cannot see, taste, or smell. It is often called “the invisible killer\u201d. It is created when fossil fuels such as kerosene, gasoline, coal, natural gas, propane, methane, or wood don\u2019t burn completely. CO gas kills people and pets.<\/p>\n
Headaches, nausea, and drowsiness are symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. Exposure can be fatal. CO alarms shall be installed outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home. Follow manufacturer\u2019s instructions for placement and mounting height. \u00a0Test CO detectors monthly and replace if they fail to respond. \u00a0If CO alarm sounds, immediately exit per your home escape plan and call 911. Do not go back until the fire department personnel declare it is safe to re-enter the home.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll finish checking out the new 2026 bikes as well as finalize our request for the first 2 of our 3 designated bike parking spots. Our first meeting of the new year will be Tuesday, January 13 after school in Ms Fairfax\u2019s room, LC210. We\u2019ll be putting together presentations for the middle schools and starting builds for our first round of launches.
