Celebrate spooky season with the library. Come by and stack books\u00a0to create the scariest story imaginable. That’s literally it. No writing required. Just vibes and nightmares.\u00a0Prizes for the best stories on October 31st.<\/p>\n

Did you know that if you stop idling you can save on gas money and help the environment? Idling is a big cause of pollution that we can stop. Try turning off your car when you’re parked.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

3 minutes or less is how much time you have to escape a fire. Please be sure to have the following in order to increase your chance of survival:<\/p>\n

Working smoke alarms<\/p>\n

Home Escape Plan and practice it twice a year.<\/p>\n

Close the door when sleeping and when escaping a room or building that is on fire.<\/p>\n

Call 911 and report fires or emergencies immediately. When you hear a smoke alarm, get outside and stay outside.<\/p>\n

If you need smoke alarms in your home, please contact the Oak Ridge Fire Department at 865-425-FIRE (3473) or email smokealarms@oakridgetn.gov<\/a><\/p>\n

Attention AP Students: The Fall AP payment window is now open and closes on Friday, October 31st<\/sup> at 11:59pm for all students currently enrolled in a fall or yearlong AP course.\u00a0 If you begin your AP course in January, you will pay in the spring.\u00a0 This year all AP exams are $102.\u00a0The link to register and pay is available to all AP students via Parent\/Student Square.<\/p>\n

Any current ORHS Sophomore or Junior interested in attending Governor\u2019s School during the Summer 2026, please see the Parent Square announcement or your Grade Level Canvas Page for a list of Governor\u2019s Schools offered by the state and information on how to apply. To be considered for Governor\u2019s School, you must adhere to the deadlines set by ORHS when applying.<\/p>\n

FCA will meet on THURSDAY MORNING, October 23rd, at 7:00 AM!! \u00a0We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school. \u00a0Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10.\u00a0 We will dismiss by 7:35.\u00a0 All are welcome!!!\u00a0 If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football\/baseball coach).<\/p>\n
