Celebrate spooky season with the library. Come by and stack books\u00a0to create the scariest story imaginable. That’s literally it. No writing required. Just vibes and nightmares.\u00a0Prizes for the best stories on October 31st.<\/p>\n

Vehicle idling is when you leave your car running when you are not driving. Idling is polluting our air. We can prevent idling. If you know you’re going to be stopped for more than 10 seconds you should turn your car off.<\/p>\n

Guten Morgen und Willkommen!\u00a0 <\/span>The German\u00a0Club\u00a0is meeting on Monday, October 20th, in Mrs. Nebenfuehr\u2019s room CS301.<\/span>As usual we have games, music and good conversations!<\/span>The German National Holiday was just two weeks ago on October 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0 for the 35th<\/sup>\u00a0time. Only 35th time? Isn’t Germany older than that?<\/span>If you want to learn more about German holidays and Oktoberfest or other German specialties, German Club is the place to be.<\/span>Everybody is welcome!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Interact club will meet today in the amphitheater after school until 4pm.\u00a0 We will have a pumpkin decorating contest to help benefit the angel tree program.\u00a0 Check the Interact student square for more information.<\/p>\n

FCA will meet on THURSDAY MORNING, October 23rd, at 7:00 AM!! \u00a0We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school. \u00a0Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10.\u00a0 We will dismiss by 7:35.\u00a0 All are welcome!!!\u00a0 If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football\/baseball coach).<\/p>\n

Seniors and senior parents, please join us in the amphitheater to learn about the different types of financial aid available to the class of 2026 on October 21, 2025 from 5:30pm-6:30pm
\n“Financial Aid 101” from the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) explains how to apply for state and federal aid to pay for postsecondary education. TSAC offers webinars and presentations on topics like completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), student eligibility, and state grant and scholarship programs, such as the Tennessee Student Assistance Award (TSAA) and Tennessee HOPE Scholarship.<\/p>\n

Seniors: please submit your signature for the Class of 2026 senior signature shirt! Go to the Class of 2026 Canvas page and locate the announcement with the link to the assignment. Signatures are due by 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 23. Don\u2019t be left off the Class of 2026 shirt!<\/p>\n

Reminder that you have until tonight, Monday, October 20th at 11:59pm to choose which of your formal photos will be featured in the yearbook or the yearbook staff will be choosing for you.\u00a0 \u00a0 You MUST choose a formal tux or drape photo.\u00a0 If you have not already done this, instructions are posted on iNews and were sent out on student square.\u00a0 See Mrs. Pryfogle or email her at rgpryfogle@ortn.edu<\/a> if you have any questions.<\/p>\n

Seniors: you do not need to order a large expensive graduation supplies package from Jostens. The cap, gown, and tassel set is the only required item. See StudentSquare or the Class of 2026 Canvas page for step-by-step instructions for ordering only the cap, gown, and tassel set.<\/p>\n

Seniors: if you did not receive a Jostens graduation supplies packet after the ACT last Friday, please pick one up from the Main Office or Mrs. Ledden in CS347.<\/p>\n

Seniors: turn in your orders for senior signature shirts and sweats beginning at lunch tomorrow in the Arena Concessions\u2019 Kiosk. Order forms were sent via StudentSquare and will be available through the Class of 2026 Canvas page. Mrs. Ledden also has some printed in CS347.<\/p>\n
