Current juniors and seniors are eligible to choose, design, and paint their own parking spots for the 2025-2026 school year. Spots are $30, and those who turn in money and an application by the end of the day on August 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0will be eligible to choose their spots after school on August 18th. Applications and more information can be found in LC311 and on the Wildcat Canvas Hangout Page<\/p>\n<p>The first all grades Student Council meeting of the year will take place on Thursday August 14th in LC311. If you are a current junior or senior who wishes to make ORHS a better place, we invite you to come and develop your leadership skills with us. Come be the change you want to see in the school!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Level Up Your Library: Join the Steering Committee!<\/p>\n<p>Want a real say in making our library <em>the<\/em>\u00a0place to be? We&#8217;re looking for passionate and creative students to join our\u00a0Library Steering Committee!<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t your grandma&#8217;s book club. You&#8217;ll be taking charge and shaping the future of <em>your<\/em>\u00a0library. As part of the team, you&#8217;ll get to:<\/p>\n<p>Help us pick out the latest books and makerspace supplies.<\/p>\n<p>Plan epic events.<\/p>\n<p>Share ideas to make the library more comfortable and engaging.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll meet during 3A\/3B every day. Your study hall will change to the library, and you will still get a lunch period.\u00a0 Interested? Stop by the library and talk to Mrs. Milloway by today.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Juniors &amp; Seniors with off campus lunch can walk over to First United Methodist Church every Thursday for lunch.\u00a0 Our first lunch of the year will be on Thursday, August 7th. We look forward to seeing you back!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All ORHS students are invited to the 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0annual Back to School Bash hosted by Wildcats for Change this Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 5pm-7pm at the soccer field and in the cafeteria.\u00a0 We will have field games, tug of war, kick ball, a taco truck and snow biz on site.\u00a0 Come out and socialize with your peers and staff!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Picture day for all 9<sup>th<\/sup>-11<sup>th<\/sup> graders and faculty and staff will be today, August 1<sup>st<\/sup> in the auditorium.\u00a0 You can order pictures either before or after picture day, however all cash or check orders need to be turned into the photographer on Picture Day.\u00a0 To order photos, go to mylifetouch.com.\u00a0 You can either log in, create an account, or click on continue as guest and type in our school code: EVTHPV73P.\u00a0 This information can also be found on Parent Square.\u00a0 Please see or email Mrs. Pryfogle with any questions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>CLUB INFO<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0application\u00a0window for students who wish to join the National Honor\u00a0Society is now open through Friday, August 15<sup>th<\/sup>. To be eligible, you must be a SENIOR with a 3.8 weighted GPA. You can find the link to the application in your Class of 2026 Canvas page or the iNEWS. As a member of YAB, you&#8217;ll act as a liaison between Oak Ridge City Council and the youth of the city to act on issues that affect you.\u00a0 YAB meets 1-2 times a month on Wednesdays to discuss topics, plan events and develop ideas to help you and your peers grow culturally &amp; socially.\u00a0 The YAB is involved in many of the City&#8217;s events including Halloween, Atomic Fall Fest, children&#8217;s holiday breakfast, Egg Hunt, Art in the Park, and you will have the opportunity to take a trip to Nashville for leadership development.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Guten Morgen und Willkommen!<\/p>\n<p>German\u00a0Club\u00a0will meet on Monday August 4th, right after school in Mrs. Nebenfuehr\u2019s classroom CS301 at 3:15.\u00a0 Everyone is welcome!\u00a0 We have cookies, games and more!\u00a0We will discuss the activities for this upcoming year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>SENIORS<\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>ATHLETICS<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Anyone interested in joining ORHS Cross Country please see Coach Sauer in LC 308 anytime or come to the track after school.
