{"id":671,"date":"2017-05-25T00:00:59","date_gmt":"2017-05-25T00:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ortn.edu\/highschool\/?p=671"},"modified":"2017-05-24T19:48:00","modified_gmt":"2017-05-24T19:48:00","slug":"may-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ortn.edu\/highschool\/2017\/05\/25\/may-25\/","title":{"rendered":"May 25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thursday, May 25, 2017<\/p>\n<p><em>Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>STUDENT INFO<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Attention 9th &amp; 10th Grade students: This is SUPER IMPORTANT!\u00a0This is Computer Collection Week. \u00a0Computers will be turned into the Media Center during your Guided Studies on Wednesday and Thursday depending on the assignment. \u00a0You MUST bring your computer; both pieces of the adapter, the computer case AND THE STRAP. \u00a0If you are missing any of these components, a bill will be prepared and sent home immediately.\u00a0Students should\u00a0report directly to the Library Classroom Door (LC229) rather than going to their classroom. \u00a0Students will clean their computers and then go to the appropriate line to turn in the device.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Students who do NOT have a Guided Study\u00a0will turn the device in through\u00a0Lunch Study Hall. \u00a0Students with the last names beginning with A &#8211; M will be expected to turn in their device on Wednesday. \u00a0Students with the last names beginning with N &#8211; Z will be expected to turn in their device on Thursday.\u00a0Students with NO Lunch Study Hall or Guided Study, can obtain a pass during \u00a0class or come\u00a0during lunch on THURSDAY.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If you are absent on Wednesday, please make arrangements with a teacher to come on Thursday. \u00a0ALL DEVICES MUST BE TURNED IN BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON! Bailey<\/p>\n<p>All calculators that have been rented from the math department will be collected on Wednesday, May 31<sup>st<\/sup> during your math class.\u00a0 If you have any questions, check with your math teacher.\u00a0 Calculator costs are $125.00 if not returned. Any seniors who still have not turned theirs in will need to do so or pay for them before graduation. (5\/22-5\/31) \u2013 J. Zimprich<\/p>\n<p>Students who have been assisting with the ELLF Volunteer program at Willowbrook Elementary School will be having a special celebration on June 1<sup>st<\/sup> from 3:15 until 4:45. You need to see Mrs. Ferguson in CS 301 before noon on Friday to confirm if you plan to attend and help with the celebration. (5\/4-5\/25) \u2013 L. Byrd<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SENIOR INFO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seniors who choose to participate in the commencement exercises must wear the traditional cap and gown. The gown is to be worn over the appropriate apparel such as dresses, dress pants (long pants, not shorts), and dress shirt\/tie or collared shirt. Dress shoes are also required. If you do not have the appropriate attire for graduation, please see Ms. Estep prior to May 26<sup>th<\/sup> (seniors last day) for assistance. <strong>If a student is not dressed in appropriate attire, he or she will not participate in the commencement exercises.<\/strong> In addition, students will not be allowed to participate in graduation if they have decorated their mortar boards.
