\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n STUDENT INFO <\/u><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n This year there will be no costumes worn to school on Halloween.\u00a0 Students<\/p>\n are encouraged to participate and dress up for Trunk or Treat on October 30th.<\/p>\n If students show up in costumes on Halloween, they will need to go home and<\/p>\n change.\u00a0 -T. Seals<\/p>\n The counseling department will have Randolf College visiting today immediately after school in the College and Career Room.<\/p>\n Any Sophomore or Junior interested in attending Governor\u2019s School during Summer 2025, please see the detailed Canvas announcement on your Class of 2026 and Class of 2027 Canvas Page. Canvas pages include the attached list of Governor\u2019s Schools offered by the state and the Governor\u2019s School Intent Form. To be considered for Governor\u2019s School, students must adhere to the deadlines set by ORHS when applying. Late applications will not be accepted. \u2013 B. Ottinger<\/p>\n Don’t miss the Masquers Fall Showcase on Saturday, November 9th\u00a0at 7pm! This Showcase will feature more than 60 students as singers, dancers, and musicians. This is the first time our new Theatre class will participate in a public performance. Come see our talented students perform large and small group numbers, dynamic duets & stunning solos from various musicals. Tickets are $5 online at orhsmasquers.booktix.com or with cash at the door.<\/p>\n AP payments have gone digital!\u00a0 The Fall AP payment window is open through November 1st<\/sup> at 11:59pm for all students enrolled in a fall or yearlong AP course.\u00a0 If you begin your AP course in January you will pay in the spring.\u00a0 This year all AP exams are $101 each except for AP Seminar and Research exams which are $149 each.\u00a0 If you\u2019re taking 3 or more exams your 4th<\/sup> and all subsequent exams are $40 each.\u00a0 If you qualify for free or reduced lunch your exams are $15 each.\u00a0 If that is you, please contact jmmilligan2@ortn.edu<\/a> to verify your status and receive your code before registering.\u00a0 The link to pay can be found on Parent\/Student Square.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Oak Ridge High School has a brand-new student exchange next spring, organized by \u201cThe Friendship Connection, Inc.\u201d. You will host a German student in your home for three weeks in the spring and you will live with that student in Germany in the summer.\u00a0 If you\u2019ve had 2 semesters of German and are taking German 3 in the spring or already had at least three semesters of German in the past, you can sign-up for this opportunity – even if you\u2019ve already done the GAPP exchange.\u00a0 Sign-up before October 31st<\/sup>.\u00a0 For more information, please come to Mrs. Nebenfuehr\u2019s room CS301 or email smnebenfuehr@ortn.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SENIORS<\/u><\/p>\n All senior yearbook ads must be submitted by Friday, November 1st<\/sup>. As of last week\u2019s deadline, over 240 signatures had been submitted. Don\u2019t get left off your shirt!
