\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n STUDENT INFO <\/u><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The counseling department will have a few colleges visiting in October, all are immediately after school in the College and Career Room.<\/p>\n Today, Thursday, October 17th<\/sup> \u2013 Northwestern University<\/p>\n Thursday, October 24th<\/sup> \u2013 Queens University of Charlotte<\/p>\n Friday, October 25th<\/sup> \u2013 Case Western Reserve University<\/p>\n Monday, October 28th<\/sup> \u2013 Randolf College<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Oak Ridge US Army Recruiting Office will be in the College and Career Room on Monday, October 21stst immediately after school.\u00a0 Stop by and see what opportunities they have to offer.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n West Point will be having an Admissions Event on Oct 21st<\/sup> at Webb School of Knoxville.\u00a0 Those interested in applying to West Point can meet with an Admissions Counselor, learn about life as a cadet, what West Point offers and details about the application process.\u00a0 You can register for the event at the Counseling Office.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Any Sophomore or Junior interested in attending Governor\u2019s School during Summer 2025, please see the detailed Canvas announcement on your Class of 2026 and Class of 2027 Canvas Page. Canvas pages include the attached list of Governor\u2019s Schools offered by the state and the Governor\u2019s School Intent Form. To be considered for Governor\u2019s School, students must adhere to the deadlines set by ORHS when applying. Late applications will not be accepted.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n All library books checked out before break are due now. Please return or renew them this week.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cAttention all Tri-M applicants!<\/p>\n All applicants, new and old, have received emails about their application status.\u00a0\u00a0If not, please contact either Jaeliana Kano or Mr. Hernandez.<\/p>\n Tri \u2013 M will also be celebrating new membership at the induction ceremony October 17th<\/sup>, 7PM, in the ORHS Amphitheater.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SENIORS<\/u><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Seniors: please submit your signature for the Class of 2025 senior signature shirt! Signatures are due by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, October 23. \u2013 T. Ledden<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The 2024-2025 Bill T. Hicks Scholarship is now accepting applications for graduating seniors! The first-round of application ends at end of day on October 31, 2024<\/strong>.\u00a0 Six $5,000 cash scholarships will be awarded.\u00a0 One of our own ORHS Seniors was awarded one of the Scholarships in 2023!\u00a0 Contact Ms. O\u2019Rourke at the Counseling Office for more information.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n CLUB INFO<\/u><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Guten Morgen und Willkommen! <\/p>\n The Interact Club will meet on Monday, October 21 in the amphitheater after school until 4pm. \u00a0If you’re still looking for a club, we have open enrollment.
