\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n STUDENT INFO <\/u><\/p>\n Picture makeups and retakes will be today, October 16 in the auditorium.\u00a0 This will be for seniors and underclassmen.\u00a0 If you previously ordered pictures and are getting retakes you will need to bring your old photos with you to have new photos printed.\u00a0 For teachers with 5th<\/sup> block planning period-please make sure you have had your picture taken by 1:15 if you plan on doing so on this day.<\/p>\n The counseling department will have a few colleges visiting in October, all are immediately after school in the College and Career Room.<\/p>\n Thursday, October 17th<\/sup> \u2013 Northwestern University<\/p>\n Thursday, October 24th<\/sup> \u2013 Queens University of Charlotte<\/p>\n Friday, October 25th<\/sup> \u2013 Case Western Reserve University<\/p>\n Monday, October 28th<\/sup> \u2013 Randolf College<\/p>\n The Oak Ridge US Army Recruiting Office will be in the College and Career Room on Monday, October 21stst immediately after school.\u00a0 Stop by and see what opportunities they have to offer.<\/p>\n West Point will be having an Admissions Event on Oct 21st<\/sup> at Webb School of Knoxville.\u00a0 Those interested in applying to West Point can meet with an Admissions Counselor, learn about life as a cadet, what West Point offers and details about the application process.\u00a0 You can register for the event at the Counseling Office.<\/p>\n All library books checked out before break are due now. Please return or renew them this week.<\/p>\n AP payments have gone digital!\u00a0 The Fall AP payment window is open through November 1st<\/sup> at 11:59pm for all students enrolled in a fall or yearlong AP course.\u00a0 If you begin your AP course in January you will pay in the spring.\u00a0 This year all AP exams are $101 each except for AP Seminar and Research exams which are $149 each.\u00a0 If you\u2019re taking 3 or more exams your 4th<\/sup> and all subsequent exams are $40 each.\u00a0 If you qualify for free or reduced lunch your exams are $15 each.\u00a0 If that is you, please contact jmmilligan2@ortn.edu<\/a> to verify your status and receive your code before registering.\u00a0 The link to pay can be found on Parent\/Student Square.\u00a0 \u2013 J. Milligan<\/p>\n SENIORS<\/u><\/p>\n Seniors: pick up a graduation supplies packet from the Jostens reps as you enter the Arena for the senior picture today!<\/p>\n Seniors: please submit your signature for the Class of 2025 senior signature shirt! Go to the Class of 2025 Canvas page and locate the assignment. Read the instructions carefully. If you would like to see a previous year\u2019s shirt and what the names will look like, come by and see Mrs. Ledden in CS347 or CS342 (4th<\/sup> period). Signatures are due by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, October 23. \u2013 T. Ledden<\/p>\n The 2024-2025 Bill T. Hicks Scholarship is now accepting applications for graduating seniors! The first-round of application ends at end of day on October 31, 2024<\/strong>.\u00a0 Six $5,000 cash scholarships will be awarded.\u00a0 One of our own ORHS Seniors was awarded one of the Scholarships in 2023!\u00a0 Contact Ms. O\u2019Rourke at the Counseling Office for more information.<\/p>\n CLUB INFO<\/u><\/p>\n FBLA will meet immediately after school today in CS347.
