FALL FORMAL \u2013 The fall formal will be held on Saturday, September 25th at the DoubleTree Hotel in Oak Ridge from 7:00 PM \u2013 10:00 PM.\u00a0 Only ORHS students may attend.\u00a0 Tickets are $20 and may be purchased during lunch starting Friday, September 10th in the front lobby of the school and will be sold through September 24th.\u00a0 Get your tickets fast before they sell out!\u00a0 Tickets will not be sold at the door. The AMC 10 and AMC 12 will both be given on Wednesday November 10th. These exams are the first in a series of competitions that eventually lead all the way to the International Mathematical Olympiad. The AMC 10 and 12 are 25-question, 75-minute, multiple choice examinations in high school mathematics.\u00a0 This year there will be no charge to take the exam. The deadline for registration is September 17th. Students that register but do not take the exam will be charged $3.\u00a0 Please see the link in your email to register. The Park Scholarships program provides a four-year scholarship to NC State University awarded on the basis of outstanding accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. This scholarship is valued at $208,000 for out-of-state students, including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, travel, and personal expenses. Grants to fund professional and personal enrichment experiences, such as research projects, service activities, and conferences in the United States and abroad. Guaranteed invitation to join the University Scholars Program or University Honors Program for all Park Scholarships Finalists.\u00a0 The program includes mentoring, retreats, learning labs, etc.\u00a0 If you are interested in being nominated for this scholarship, turn in your name and a brief statement as to why you should be considered for this opportunity to the Counseling Office no later than October 1st. \u00a0(M, W) \u2013 A.
