There are only THREE opportunities left for 10th and 11th graders to register for the PSAT! Students can register and pay on Sept. 8, Sept. 9, and Sept. 14 in the main lobby near the Food Court during lunch. The deadline to register is September 14th. The cost is $18. Students should bring a check in the amount of $18 made out to Oak Ridge High School with the student\u2019s name and PSAT in the subject line. Cash will also be accepted (exact change preferred) but checks are strongly preferred. No refunds are available if you do not take the test. A limited number of exams are available. Please sign-up by the September 14th deadline. No late registrations will be accepted. Full details were emailed to parents and students on August 20th and September 7th. (M,Tu 9.14) B. FALL FORMAL \u2013 The fall formal will be held on Saturday, September 25th at the DoubleTree Hotel in Oak Ridge from 7:00 PM \u2013 10:00 PM.\u00a0 Only ORHS students may attend.\u00a0 Tickets are $20 and may be purchased during lunch starting Friday, September 10th in the front lobby of the school and will be sold through September 24th.\u00a0 Get your tickets fast before they sell out!\u00a0 Tickets will not be sold at the door. The AMC 10 and AMC 12 will both be given on Wednesday November 10th. These exams are the first in a series of competitions that eventually lead all the way to the International Mathematical Olympiad. The AMC 10 and 12 are 25-question, 75-minute, multiple choice examinations in high school mathematics.\u00a0 This year there will be no charge to take the exam. The deadline for registration is September 17th. Students that register but do not take the exam will be charged $3.\u00a0 Please see the link in your email to register. OR is now held in the Library on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.\u00a0 Students who have been assigned to O<\/strong>peration R<\/strong>estoration but complete the assignment MUST come to OR to show evidence of submission before being released to leave campus.\u00a0 However,\u00a0 students completing their assignment and are ready to submit may see Mrs. Thompson in the Main Lobby DURING LUNCH to show their work for submission and be released from OR rather than coming at 3:15.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Students who FAIL to show their submission to an OR Coach or Mrs. Thompson will be counted as skipping OR and receive skipping consequences.
