The Wildcats for Change will be hosting a school wide game night 9\/15\/21 in the food court.\u00a0\u00a0 Bring your favorite board game and money for the food truck and we will see you there!<\/p>\n

FALL FORMAL \u2013 The fall formal will be held on Saturday, September 25th at the DoubleTree Hotel in Oak Ridge from 7:00 PM \u2013 10:00 PM.\u00a0 Only ORHS students may attend.\u00a0 Tickets are $20 and may be purchased during lunch starting Friday, September 10th in the front lobby of the school and will be sold through September 24th.\u00a0 Get your tickets fast before they sell out!\u00a0 Tickets will not be sold at the door. The AMC 10 and AMC 12 will both be given on Wednesday November 10th. These exams are the first in a series of competitions that eventually lead all the way to the International Mathematical Olympiad. The AMC 10 and 12 are 25-question, 75-minute, multiple choice examinations in high school mathematics.\u00a0 This year there will be no charge to take the exam. The deadline for registration is September 17th. Students that register but do not take the exam will be charged $3.\u00a0 Please see the link in your email to register. If you are enrolled in Early Childhood this semester or spring semester, sign-ups for FCCLA have begun.\u00a0 Please contact or visit Mrs. Sparks (formally known as Ms. Goodman) or Mrs. Fisher with any questions.\u00a0 $14 club fees are due by Friday, September 24th. Do you want to join a club? Interact is still accepting new members for our community service club. We meet this Monday after school until 4:00 in the amphitheater.\u00a0 (M) \u2013 A. King<\/p>\n

New tools such as CRISPR have changed the landscape of genetic engineering dramatically in just the last decade. We can use it on humans, but should we? And for what purposes? Join Philosophy Club after school today in Mr. Pickering\u2019s room (LC322) until 4 PM for a discussion on bioethics. (F) \u2013 A. Pickering<\/p>\n

The all new ORHS Motorcycle club will meet Tuesday, September 14th during lunch in the bus loop. All students and staff who ride or are interested in motorsports are welcome to join us. If you ride to school, bring your lunch and your bike to the bus loop! Club t-shirts are available and officer positions need to be filled! IRC, Oak Ridge High Schools International Relations Club will meet in LC 318 on Monday, September 13 at 3: 10 \u2013 4:00. Seniors interested in joining National Honor Society should pick up an application form in the Media Center by Monday, September 27th in preparation for the Fall Induction opportunity. To qualify for acceptance into NHS, you must have maintained a 3.6 GPA through this first term of your senior year, achieved a good discipline record with the school administration, and participated in extracurricular activities including leadership.
