The Wildcats for Change will be hosting a school wide game night 9\/15\/21 in the food court.\u00a0\u00a0 Bring your favorite board game and money for the food truck and we will see you there! 5:30-7pm (W,F,M, W 9.15) A. King<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There are only THREE opportunities left for 10th and 11th graders to register for the PSAT! Students can register and pay on Sept. 8, Sept. 9, and Sept. 14 in the main lobby near the Food Court during lunch. The deadline to register is September 14th. The cost is $18. Students should bring a check in the amount of $18 made out to Oak Ridge High School with the student\u2019s name and PSAT in the subject line. Cash will also be accepted (exact change preferred) but checks are strongly preferred. No refunds are available if you do not take the test. A limited number of exams are available. Please sign-up by the September 14th deadline. No late registrations will be accepted. Full details were emailed to parents and students on August 20th and September 7th. (W,Th, M,Tu 9.14) B. FALL FORMAL \u2013 The fall formal will be held on Saturday, September 25th at the DoubleTree Hotel in Oak Ridge from 7:00 PM \u2013 10:00 PM.\u00a0 Only ORHS students may attend.\u00a0 Tickets are $20 and may be purchased during lunch starting Friday, September 10th in the front lobby of the school and will be sold through September 24th.\u00a0 Get your tickets fast before they sell out!\u00a0 Tickets will not be sold at the door. Chapter R Scholarships is September 15th.\u00a0 The three scholarships are:\u00a0 STAR Scholarship\u00a0 \/\u00a0 Loretta McCoin Scholarship\u00a0 \/\u00a0 Chapter R Women Advancing Women Scholarship\u00a0 –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If interested, please fill out the \u201cPEO Scholarship Interest Form\u201d.<\/p>\n

Due to a conflict the admissions representative from Maryville College rescheduled his visit for Friday, September 10th at 3:15pm.\u00a0 The visit will take place in the Counseling Office \u2013 no sign-up is necessary. (W-F)\u00a0 A. Campbell<\/p>\n

Attention Seniors-you have the opportunity to pay $50 and claim a parking spot that is your own through the duration of the school year. You will then customize your spot. This means you will have your own parking spot for the entire school year customized by you!<\/p>\n

If you want to personalize and reserve a parking space you have until Thursday, September 9th to turn in the application and money to the ORHS cheerleaders. Please stop by the arena after school on Tuesdays or Thursdays to see a cheerleader, or check the iNEWS for a link to the sign up form and Venmo information.\u00a0\u00a0 (M,W,F) \u2013 B. Seniors, are you interested in the University of Virginia?\u00a0 The Jefferson Scholarship provides the entire cost of attendance, and many supplemental enrichment experiences, at the University of Virginia.\u00a0 If you are interested to be ORHS\u2019s nominee for this scholarship submit a resume and a personal statement as to why you should be chosen to Ms. Taylor by Friday, October 29th<\/sup><\/strong>. (W \u2013 10\/29) \u2013 A. Campbell<\/p>\n

The tradition continues. It\u2019s time for the Senior Shirt Design Contest<\/strong>\u2014the shirt that every senior gets to sign. Please submit your designs for the Class of 2022 Senior Shirt to Mrs. Ledden in Room CS347 by Tuesday, September 28. You do not have to be a senior to submit designs for the shirt\u2014open to all grade levels.<\/p>\n

We need a front shirt design and a back shirt design.\u00a0 Each of these designs is a separate \u201ccontest\u201d.\u00a0 Prizes for each contest are as follows:\u00a0 Front – $25; Back – $25. (That\u2019s $50 if you win both!)<\/p>\n

Be sure to incorporate ORHS, Seniors, and Class of 2022 into your drawings.\u00a0 Place your name and first period teacher\u2019s name on the back of each design entry.\u00a0 Entries must be original work and if selected, will become the property of Oak Ridge High School.
