Roberts<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Today is the last day!!\u00a0 Calling all Visual Artists and Poets:\u00a0 Oak Ridge elementary, middle and high school students are invited to create works of art &amp; poetry inspired by the Scarboro 85 and honoring the 65<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the Historic Oak Ridge School Desegregation.\u00a0 The Competition theme is: \u201cHonoring the Struggle, Celebrating the Triumphs &amp; Inspiring the Future\u201d.\u00a0 The entry form and guidelines will be available to print from the Wildcat Daily Bulletin (you can find a link to these in your school email).\u00a0 All entries due by February 19, 2021.\u00a0 (M, Th \u2013 2\/19)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Oak Ridge High School Student Council will be hosting an event to interview members of the Scarboro 85 on February 24th. The interview will include ten of the Scarboro 85 along with ten Oak Ridge High Student Council members. The zoom meeting will be an open formatted discussion where the students will ask a series of questions to gather a better understanding of the 85\u2019s experience. The event will be recorded and then published later that day on the school\u2019s website and the Canvas Hang Out Page for students following the zoom. Oak Ridge High School has expressed that the story of the Scarboro 85 cannot be shared enough and should be broadcasted for others to hear. (2\/19-2\/26) \u2013 A. Wagner<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Oak Ridge High School Student Council presents Wildcats\u2019 Got Talent! On February 26th, Oak Ridge\u2019s virtual talent show will be livestreamed on STUCO\u2019s YouTube channel and through the Wildcat Hangout Canvas page at 7:00 PM. Come virtually and support your multi-talented peers and MCs Jaxon Adams, Trent Howe, Blake Pinchback, and Vinny West. You\u2019ll also get the opportunity to vote live on the People\u2019s Choice Award. (2\/19-2\/26) \u2013 A. Waner<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our Spring AP exam payment collection will be from March 1 to March 5.\u00a0 We will be set up in the food court during lunch to accept your payment.\u00a0 During this time you will be able to pay off your remaining balance for any exam you have already ordered.\u00a0 You will also be able to order an exam for the first time for any Spring semester AP course.\u00a0 You will also be able to order an exam for any other AP course if you missed the order deadline in the Fall.\u00a0 If you missed the Fall deadline, College Board will charge an additional $40 late fee for each exam.<\/p>\n<p>Exams remain $95\/exam.\u00a0 If you are taking four or more exams, the fourth and subsequent exams are $40\/exam.\u00a0 Research and Seminar exams are $143 each.\u00a0 If you are on free and reduced lunch status, exams are $15\/exam.<\/p>\n<p>Please make checks payable to Oak Ridge High School.\u00a0 Please put the student name and the exam name(s) on the Memo line to ensure that the payment is applied correctly.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions at all, please reach out to our AP Coordinator, David Foust at <a href=\"mailto:djfoust@ortn.edu\">djfoust@ortn.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Current Juniors: If you have taken Business Academy courses and are interested in Work-Based Learning (Co-op) for the 21-22 school year, please see Mrs. Ledden in CS347.
