The Fall Play \u201cTwelfth Night\u201d starts this Thursday!\u00a0 Do you have your tickets for this classic comedy?\u00a0 Shows are Nov 12-15:\u00a0 Thursday at 7, Saturday at 7, and Sunday at 2.\u00a0 Advance tickets are $6 and are available online.\u00a0 Find a poster and use the QR code on it.\u00a0 Posters are found all around the school and outside Mr. Moreno\u2019s room.\u00a0 Tickets will be available at the door for $9 for students and $10 for adults. Joel\u2019s essay, entitled \u201cA Soldier\u2019s Obligations: Soldier\u2019s Happiness vs. Duty as a Soldier in\u00a0Going After Cacciato,<\/em>\u201d was elegant and concise, the work of a mature writer. He won an Amazon Gift Card and abundant glory for his work.(11\/9, 11\/12) \u2013 A. There are scholarships specific to ORHS students, through the East Tennessee Foundation and other local groups.\u00a0 Private corporate scholarships and scholarship search engines that will help you find opportunities for nearly every interest and post-high school education option.\u00a0 There is even information on career exploration and summer opportunities at some amazing schools.\u00a0 Stop by the Counseling Office and check out our Scholarship Section or visit our website:\u00a0https:\/\/www.ortn.edu\/highschool\/academics\/school-counseling\/testing-scholarship-and-career\/<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Tee Higgins \u201cBe The Change\u201d Scholarship is designated for an African-American senior at Oak Ridge High School who is a Wildcat student-athlete and understands the importance of being \u201dAll In\u201d in order to achieve their dreams.\u00a0 All applicants should have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and a minimum ACT score of 19.\u00a0 Application can be picked up in the Counseling Office.\u00a0 Submit your form and writing prompt to Mrs. Taylor in the Counseling Office by Friday, December 4, 2020.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n UT Promise is a last-dollar, undergraduate scholarship that will guarantee free tuition and mandatory fees to qualifying Tennessee residents enrolling in an undergraduate degree at UT campuses in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Martin and Memphis.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>This innovative scholarship will cover a student\u2019s last-dollar amount of tuition and mandatory fees after other financial aid is applied (such as Pell grants, HOPE Scholarship or other institutional scholarships) to students who qualify for HOPE and whose family household income is under $50,000 a year. UT Promise is a student-success oriented scholarship program that requires students to complete volunteer service hours and meet with a volunteer mentor each semester to ensure a successful student experience.\u00a0 Visit\u00a0https:\/\/tennessee.edu\/ut-promise\/<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The online application for the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship is available now at\u00a0jackierobinson.org<\/a>.
