Thompson<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n COUNSELING INFO<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Attention all Sophomores and Juniors:\u00a0 The PSAT\/NMSQT\u00ae is an OPTIONAL test that will be offered to 10th and 11th graders at Oak Ridge High School on Wednesday, October 14th at 7:50 a.m. This date is set by PSAT\/CollegeBoard. Because Wednesday is a virtual learning day, students that register for the PSAT will be responsible for arranging transportation to and from school on that day. The test should end around 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n Registration will be conducted on four occasions during lunch: September 1st, September 3rd, September 8th and September 10th. A registration table will be set up on these days in the main lobby near the Food Court. Students can stop by to register. The cost is $17. Students should bring a check in the amount of $17 made out to Oak Ridge High School with the student\u2019s name and PSAT in the subject line. Cash will also be accepted (exact change preferred) but checks are preferred. No refunds are available if you do not take the test. A limited number of exams are available. All seniors attending school in person should turn their applications in to Ms. Milloway in the Media Center by 3:15pm this Friday. Senter<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n SENIORS:<\/strong> Since your free ACT test was cancelled last spring due to the pandemic, you will be taking the ACT for FREE<\/strong> on Tuesday, September 22nd<\/sup> at school.<\/p>\n You will complete your demographics the week of September 14th<\/sup>-18th<\/sup>. If you have a guided study, guided study intervention or service learning period first semester, you will complete demographics on Monday or Tuesday September 14th<\/sup> or September 15th<\/sup>.\u00a0 If you do NOT have a guided study, guided study intervention or service learning period first semester OR you are a Middle College OR a ConnectOR senior you should have received an email from Mrs. Beth Estep last week to complete the survey as to which date and time Wednesday-Friday of September 16th <\/sup>18th<\/sup> that you would like to come complete pre-test demographics. For all pre-test demographics sessions, seniors will be socially distanced for safety. Please bring your own #2 lead pencils. YOU CANNOT take the test if you have not completed pre-test demographics first and as a reminder taking the ACT (or SAT) at least once is a requirement for graduation in Tennessee. \u00a0On test day, we have also assigned a very small number per each test room for safety measures.
