DID YOU KNOW<\/strong> –\u00a0 – Congressman John Lewis was still in his early twenties when he became known as one of the \u201cBig Six\u201d leaders of the Civil Rights Movement. At 23, he was the youngest leader to address the crowd at the March on Washington, alongside MLK, who gave his famous I Have a Dream speech. In 1965, he helped organize the march from Selma to Montgomery, an event that was instrumental in passing the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Come to the library to learn more about Congressman John Lewis, who still represents GA\u2019s 5th District, and other civil rights heroes as we celebrate Black History Month 2020. (M) \u2013 C.
