Winter Formal tickets are now on sale! Tickets will be sold during lunch at the top of the cafeteria and in the Wildcat Arena for $15\/each. Tickets are expected to sell out, so buy quickly! All proceeds will be put toward Second Harvest of Anderson County. (W,F,M \u2013 1.31) –\u00a0 A. Wagner<\/p>\n

ACT Practice: The Oak Ridge Chapter of the NAACP and Oak Ridge Schools are co-sponsoring Saturday ACT Prep sessions at the Scarboro Center on Saturday, January 25, and Saturday, February 1, from 8:00 AM-11:30 AM. On the 25th<\/sup> we will focus on the English and Reading tests, and on the 1st<\/sup> we\u2019ll focus on the Math and Science tests.\u00a0 Instructors include Ms. Estep, Ms. Hale, Ms. Vaughan, Ms. Hondorf, Dr. Thomas, and Coach Etheridge. If you\u2019d like to participate, please email Coach Etheridge (Aetheridge@ortn.edu) and indicate the date(s) that interest you. In particular we\u2019d like to see students who cannot attend our Wednesday afternoon sessions, but all students are welcome. We\u2019ll have door prizes and lunch. (W,F 1.31) \u2013 A. ACT Prep\u2014On Wednesday, January 29, join Coach Etheridge and Ms. Flanders in the Amphitheatre from 2:00-3:30 to prep for the ACT English test. A representative from the University of Alabama will be visiting ORHS immediately after school on Wednesday, January 29th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Stop by the Counseling Office to meet the representative and learn more about the opportunities offered. (F, Tu, W) \u2013 A. Campbell<\/p>\n

Cottey College Summer Workshop scholarship applications are available in the Counseling Office.\u00a0 The workshop will be held June 15-20 in Nevada Missouri at Cottey College.\u00a0 Participants will have fun while learning how to succeed in today\u2019s fast-paced world, and will experience college life prior to high school graduation.\u00a0 This scholarship pays for 100% of tuition, lodging, food and travel expenses up to $500 at the Cottey College program. \u00a0The scholarship is open to a female student who is currently a sophomore or junior.\u00a0 The deadline for application submission is February 15, 2020.\u00a0 If you are interested, come to the Counseling Office and pick up an application. February 1, 2020 is the TNPromise FAFSA completion deadline. To remain eligible for the TNPromise Scholarship, seniors MUST complete the 2020-2021 FAFSA between October 1, 2019 \u2013 February 1, 2020. Complete the FAFSA at\u00a0 www.fafsa.gov based on student and parent 2018 tax information.
