Masquers would like to invite you to Sketch Night on Thursday, at 7.\u00a0 Come watch your friends show off their acting skill and directing skills in 7-10 minute sketches.\u00a0 The cost is $3 and is in the Auditorium. (W) \u2013 V. Moreno<\/p>\n

Students taking AP exams:\u00a0 please plan to attend one of the 4 mandatory pre-administration sessions this week to fill out all of the paperwork for your exams.\u00a0 We will meet in the amphitheater Wednesday, April 17th<\/sup> and Thursday, April 18th<\/sup> during lunch and after school.\u00a0We will also be collecting payments on any outstanding balances.\u00a0 (4\/12-4\/16) \u2013 A. Any Junior who is interested in serving on the Class of 2020 Senior Steering committee needs to pick up an application from Ms. Hondorf or Ms. Sobek this week.\u00a0 Applications are due on Thursday.\u00a0 Senior Steering is a group of 20 students who work with the class officers to plan and organize senior class activities. Come be\u00a0 a part of the award winning ORHS Color Guard and perform with the WildBand at football games and competitions. \u00a0No experience necessary. All students in grades 9-12 are welcome. Tickets to Prom 2019, Living Behind the Mask: a Met Gala, will be on Pre-Order April 3rd -5th\u00a0 in the Arena Kiosk during 5th period at the pre-order cost of $30 for singles and $60 for couples.\u00a0 Tickets will be on sale April 22nd -25th\u00a0 during 5th period at the price of $40 for singles and $80 for couples. Tickets WILL NOT be sold Friday April 26th or Saturday April 27th.<\/strong>\u00a0 All tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.<\/p>\n

If your date is not a current ORHS student you must complete a Guest Application form found in Student Affairs or with Ms. Eidam in LC 313.\u00a0 All forms must be completed and turned in with a copy of the guest\u2019s ID to Student Services by April 24th.<\/p>\n

Promposal contest. Did you ask your date to prom in a creative way? Would you like to win a pair of tickets to Living Behind the Mask: a Met Gala?\u00a0 Send pictures or video of your promposal with a short explanation of your proposal to Ms. Eidam at seidam@ortn.edu by April 16th.\u00a0 The winner will receive a free pair of tickets to Prom 2019 or a refund if they had already pre-ordered their tickets. Attention Seniors!\u00a0There is a paid summer internship at UT.\u00a0 This runs from 8am-1pm for 4 weeks in June.\u00a0 There you will learn about STEM teaching and get a chance to teach and learn under guidance of UT faculty members.\u00a0 This is open to all graduating seniors who plan to enroll in a Community College next fall.\u00a0 For more information, please contact Dr. Lynn Hodge at thodge4@utk.edu<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n

Student Council is offering a $2000 scholarship to a senior in the class of 2019. Applicants should have made a positive impact on their community, shown exceptional leadership, and contributed to the student body in their four years at ORHS! Erin Fitch, the regional representative for Camp Invention in Tennessee has volunteer opportunity available for high school students needing service hours in the summer of 2019. They are running a program at St. Mary\u2019s Catholic School and are in need of high school student volunteers. Kristin Barron is the camp director this year and is looking for any student interested in mentoring elementary aged students. Below are the program details.<\/p>\n
