Jostens will distribute class ring packets in the Main Lobby and Arena Concessions\u2019 Kiosk during lunch on Wednesday, September 12. Any student, regardless of grade, may purchase a class ring. Orders will be taken September 19 and 26. A $60 deposit is required. (Tu) \u2013 T. Ledden<\/p>\n

NHS has Joy for you today in the Counseling Center from 3:15-3:50. His name is David Joy. We also have Brady. His name is Ethan Brady, and they will both provide free tutoring. (Tu) \u2013 K. Senter<\/p>\n

Attention students.\u00a0 It shouldn\u2019t come as a surprise that you need to wear your badge in a visible location on your person 100% of the time that you\u2019re in the building.\u00a0 Unfortunately, we still don\u2019t have 100% compliance with this policy.\u00a0 As a result, starting next Tuesday, September 4th, you will not be allowed to leave your class during class unless you are wearing your badge when you ask your teacher for permission.\u00a0 If you are not wearing your badge at that time, you will not be allowed to leave \u2013 this includes the bathroom, library, another teacher\u2019s classroom, or anywhere else. Students-Please be aware that the Oak Ridge High School dress code requires that shorts and skirts be finger tip length. Any holes in pants or skirts\u00a0 also fall below the fingertip length. Students who do not meet this expectation will be required to change clothes. (Tu 9.4)\u00a0 Administration<\/p>\n

Any students interested in taking the ASVAB CEP test on Friday, September 28th please come and sign up in either Student Services or Guidance.\u00a0 Please remember if any student has already taken the ASVAB test and sworn an oath of allegiance to a military service, they would be ineligible to test.\u00a0 To help explain the ASVAB Career Exploration Program and its benefits,\u00a0 there is a 70 second video on the homepage of the website, www.asvabprogram.com<\/a>.\u00a0 C. Seniors: mark your calendars\u2014Wednesday, September 12! The senior signing party for the 2019 senior signature shirt will be immediately after the senior class picture on Wednesday, September 12, in the Arena. In addition, Jostens will be handing out your packets to order graduation supplies. The first two order dates for graduation supplies will be September 19 and September 26. So on Wednesday, September 12\u2014senior class picture, sign the board for the senior shirt, and get your graduation supplies packet!<\/p>\n

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL) is the largest career student business organization in the world. Each year, FBLA-PBL helps over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business. The ORHS chapter of FBLA will hold its first meeting of 2018-2019 on Tuesday morning, September 11, at 7:15 a.m. in CS345. Any student with an interest in business is welcome and encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served. Please see Ms. Stalliard or Ms. Ledden if you have questions about FBLA.\u00a0 T. The Secret City Wildbots FIRST robotics team will be meeting every Tuesday and Thursday this Fall from 6 pm to 9pm in room CS247.\u00a0 Everyone is encouraged to come and be a part of an award-winning team and learn about finance, programming, electronics, leadership, engineering, design, CAD, 3D printing, machining and so much more.
