Seniors with an interest in community service, leadership, and organization are encouraged to apply. We will plan all class of 2019 events, including senior breakfast, convocation, and graduation. They will have a guest speaker as well as a current student to discuss campus life and answer questions. There will be food and there will be math! (F) &#8211; K. Mullins<\/p>\n<p>Are you interested in learning more about emotional and mental health issues in schools today? And, are you interested in learning how to assist and support your fellow high school students? Oak Ridge High School is pleased to announce that we will be partnering with the <strong>Teens for Contact program<\/strong>. Teens for Contact is a program designed to train teens in the areas of suicide support, mental health awareness, and the emotional well-being of peers. Training and ongoing mentoring will be provided early on, and the group will meet on a weekly and\/or bi-weekly basis.<\/p>\n<p>Oak Ridge High School students spoke up last year via the Counseling Department\u2019s student survey and mental health was one of the top concerns among respondents. Teens for Contact will provide participants with the training and skills to have a positive and direct impact on the overall emotional well-being of our school.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested there will be an informational meeting on Monday 8\/13 at 3:15 in the Counseling Department\u2019s College and Career Room.
