In the 9th and 10th grade category, first place is Maggie Froning, &#8220;Broken Wings,&#8221; $25; second place is Meghan Campbell, &#8220;I See the Hours Pass,&#8221; $15; third place is Miracle Jones, &#8220;The Demon,&#8221; $10. In the 11th and 12th grade category, first place is Rebekah Moran, &#8220;Mushrooms of Caramel,&#8221; $25; second place is Nathan Ferragut, &#8220;I Want to be Dumb,&#8221; $15; third place is Rebekah Moran, &#8220;A Hopeless Romantic,&#8221; $10. The following students also earned Honorable Mentions: Matthew Darring-York, &#8220;An Aberrations&#8217; Record: Querido Diario&#8221;;\u00a0 Jacob Ferragut, &#8220;The Living Journey of Life&#8221;;\u00a0Olivia Milloway, &#8220;to my Sister&#8221;;\u00a0 and\u00a0Carson Mitchell, &#8220;The Light.&#8221; All winners and honorable mentions should see Ms. Sasser in CS336 to collect your prizes. (2\/5-2\/6) \u2013 J. Sasser<\/p>\n<p>Students registered to take the AMC 12-A Math test on Wednesday, February 7<sup>th<\/sup> ,\u00a0 should report to their test sites no later than 7:45 am. Lists of participates will be posted outside of the Amphitheatre and on the Math wing bulletin board. Test sights are: \u00a0Last names A \u2013 K \u00a0in LC-326. Last names L \u2013 Z in the Amphitheatre. (2\/1-2\/7) \u2013 J. Zimprich<\/p>\n<p>Y-12 is hosting its annual \u201cIntroduce a Girl to Engineering\u201d event on February 22<sup>nd<\/sup>, and all ORHS girls are welcome to attend.\u00a0 This free field trip is a great opportunity for our young women to hear from and talk with women in the STEM fields.\u00a0 There will be demonstrations and booths set-up for every STEM field imaginable.\u00a0 We will depart that morning and return to school in time for 6<sup>th<\/sup> period.\u00a0 If you would like to attend, please see your math or science teacher for a permission form.\u00a0 All forms are due to Student Services by the end of school on Friday, February 9<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 There are a limited number of seats, so sign up quickly! Roberts<\/p>\n<p>There will be a meeting for those students who are enrolled on the summer trip to Spain and France on Thursday, February 8<sup>th<\/sup> at 6:30 in the Amphitheater. \u00a0Please bring two grey-scape signed copies of your passport and your folder.\u00a0 There are two spots remaining, but time is running out!\u00a0 If you are interested in traveling to Europe, eating Spanish and French food, learning to cook, watching a Flamenco show, or going to one of the favorite amusement parks in Europe&#8211;and potentially earning college credit while you do so&#8211;come to the meeting, or see Madame Bailey, Se\u00f1or Gonzalez, Se\u00f1ora Ferguson, Mr. Pickering, Mr. Hickman or Ms. Toler for more information on how to enroll.\u00a0 (2\/5, 2\/8) \u2013 L.
