Students, you will use your regular ORHS username and password.\u00a0 Teachers, use your regular username and the special password the library assigned you for this purpose; please call the library if you aren&#8217;t sure what that is.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Search the Destiny catalog for a particular title if you know what you are looking for. Digital audio books and eBooks will all have an \u201c<strong>open<\/strong>\u201d button under the title of the book.\u00a0\u00a0Click the \u201copen\u201d button to begin listening or reading.<\/p>\n<p>Or, scroll down the page and click on &#8220;see all&#8221; to see a list of all\u00a0 eBooks or audio books if you want to see all the titles available in our library.<\/p>\n<p>When you close book, it will automatically be put \u201cback on the shelf\u201d and be ready for the next person to use.\u00a0 It can take 15-30 minutes for this to happen, though.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300\"><strong>How do I access the library\u2019s eBooks or digital audio books from my phone?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/is1-ssl.mzstatic.com\/image\/thumb\/Purple124\/v4\/e9\/db\/70\/e9db7063-a0bb-56b5-68fb-8d9192965c5b\/source\/512x512bb.jpg\" alt=\"Destiny Discover by Follett School Solutions, Inc.\" width=\"67\" height=\"67\" \/>\u00a0 Download the <em>Destiny Discover<\/em> App for free from your favorite app store.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Sign in with our state and school name, then your regular school username and password. Once signed in to it, the App will bring you to an eBook and digital audiobook interface. You can also use the search feature (bottom of the page) to search for eBooks and digital audiobooks (limit with the upside down triangle to the left of the search bar.) You can choose to either &#8220;read&#8221; the eBook or &#8220;checkout&#8221; the book. Checking it out prohibits anyone else from reading it, so please only check it out if you know you will read it. eBooks and digital audiobooks will be automatically removed from your account and returned to the library after 15 school days.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300\"><strong>How long can I read\/listen to an audio book?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>If you\u2019re listening or reading on your computer, as soon as you close the browser, the book will be returned.<\/p>\n<p>If you check out the book on your device with the app, you can keep the book up to 15 days.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300\"><strong>Can more than one person listen to an audio book or read an eBook at once?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>No. Only one person can listen to a particular digital audio book at one time. \u00a0\u00a0With some exceptions, most eBooks are also only available to one reader at a time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How do I access the library\u2019s digital audio books or eBooks from my computer? \u00a0Access the Library catalog, Destiny Discover, from the ORHS Library page. https:\/\/www.ortn.edu\/highschool\/ =&gt; Academics =&gt; Library Login to the catalog before you begin your search.
