Seniors: It’s time to select speakers for the ORHS Class of 2026 Graduation and Convocation ceremonies. Speaker tryouts will be virtual this year. For detailed audition instructions, please visit the Class of 2026 Canvas page and review the announcement regarding tryouts. All submissions must be uploaded to Canvas by March 13 at 3:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you represent the ORHS Class of 2026!

 

You should have received your registration sheets in your first period class last week. Visit your grade level Canvas Page and follow instructions to complete your course registration for next year. You will request your courses in Skyward Feb 27th – March 4th.  Remember, you will have to turn in your completed and signed registration sheet when you meet with your counselor March 5th – 12th .

 

ORHS Masquers presents Tuck Everlasting on March 6th, 7th & 8th at Oak Ridge High School Performing Arts Center. Tuck Everlasting tells the story of young Winnie Foster, a girl longing for adventure and escape from her stifling life. Winnie’s world changes forever when she discovers a magical spring and meets the immortal Tuck family. Don’t miss seeing this endearing story come to life by 75 amazing & talented ORHS students who are in the cast, crew & pit orchestra. You don’t need to live forever; you just need to live!

A representative from Centro Hispano of East Tennessee will be visiting ORHS to speak with students about post-graduation college and career opportunities. The meeting will take place on Monday, March 2 at 3:20 in Mrs. Golden’s classroom, CS 300. Information will be available in both English and Spanish. Students should see Mrs. Golden for more information.

AP Students, the Spring AP Exam Payment Window closes on Monday, March 2nd at 11:59pm. This year AP exams are $102/exam.  If you are taking more than three exams, your fourth and subsequent exams will be $40/exam.  A $40 late fee will apply for those students who want to pay for a fall or yearlong class.  If you qualified for reduced/free lunch last year, you may qualify for a fee reduction of $15 per exam.  To see if you qualify, your Parent/Guardian must contact Ms. Milligan at jmmilligan2@ortn.edu to verify eligibility and receive a registration code before paying for the exam(s) online.  The AP Digital Payment Platform website is aptsusa.com/oakridge.

 

Juniors & Seniors with off campus lunch can walk over to First United Methodist Church every Thursday for lunch. They will be serving tacos today.The cost is $4; however, if you aren’t able to pay, we won’t turn you away.

 

CLUB INFO

 

FCA will meet on Friday morning, February 27th, at 7:00 AM!!  We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school.  Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10.  We will dismiss by 7:35.  All are welcome!!!  If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).

 

Bonjour! French Club will meet again this Thursday in CS 307 Madame Barry’s room from 3:15-4PM to finish working on our preparations for International Night! Merci beaucoup!

ATHLETICS.

 

There is a volleyball interest meeting for any girl interested in trying out for the 2026 season on February 25th at 6pm in the Amphiteater. This is a mandatory meeting for girls interested and their parents. Plan now to attend if you have any interest in trying out for the 2026 Lady Wildcats!
