This week a representative from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) will be visiting our school. They will be in the Counseling Office immediately after school on Thursday, November 6th. They always have interesting programs to learn about, stop by and see what they have to offer!!

Rocket Club Announcement: The thrill of anticipation… the rush of the launch… the excitement of the successful landing… All these things can be found as part of the Oak Ridge Rocket Club! We use STEM and Physics skills to design, build, and launch rockets. All are welcome. A brief interest meeting will be next Thursday (Nov 6) after school in LC210, Mrs. Fairfax’s room
Interested in teamwork, competition, or stem? Then we have a deal for you! Our FIRST Robotics Competition team, 4265, The Secret City Wildbots is looking for new members. There are opportunities for those interested in any kind of engineering. Learn and apply skills in coding, design, mechanical fabrication, machining, business, animation, photography, videography and more. We currently meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 9pm in the automotive, aviation, and iSchool building. Come help us gear up for build season starting in January! New members will not be considered after Tuesday, November 25; so make sure to stop by or email Dr. Buckner at mabuckner@ortn.edu if you have any further questions, all grades and experience levels are welcome. Come check out the biggest learning opportunity and hardest fun you’ve ever had!
FCA will meet on FRIDAY MORNING, November 7th, at 7:00 AM!! We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school. Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10. We will dismiss by 7:35. All are welcome!!! If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).
The roads are finally dry, the weather is cool and the leaves are beautiful- time to ride! Motorcycle club will meet this Thursday during 3A. Meet in the bus loop lobby and be ready to walk outside! Questions? See Ms Fairfax in LC 210

After speaking with the printer, Mrs. Ledden can accept orders for the senior signature shirts and sweats through Noon on Wednesday, November 5. This is the FINAL deadline. Any remaining seniors who want to order, turn in the form and payment to Mrs. Ledden in CS347.
