Attention AP Students:

The Fall AP payment window will open on Monday, September 15th and close on Friday, October 31st at 11:59pm for all students currently enrolled in a fall or yearlong AP course.  If you begin your AP course in January, you will pay in the spring.  This year all AP exams are $102. The link to pay and register will be sent to all AP students via Parent/Student Square on September 15th.

 

Spirit Week begins on Monday Sept 15th! Homecoming Week dress up days are as follows- Monday is Bikers versus Surfers, Tuesday is Duo Day, Wednesday is Dress Your Type, Thursday is Country versus Country Club, and Friday is Wildcat Pride Day. Tag @orhs_stuco on instagram each day for a chance to win a gift card for best dressed each day. The week will conclude with a pep rally on Friday to present the Homecoming Court and hype up our team to beat the Cleveland High Blue Raiders. Go cats and happy HoCo!

 

Soccer Club of Oak Ridge is looking for several volunteers September 20/21st to support the large soccer tournament.  If you are interested, the form to fill out is in the iNews as well as grade level Canvas pages. (Thompson 9/11 – 9/17)

 

The latest colleges that will be visiting us, after school in Counseling are:

Lincoln Memorial University on Tuesday the 16th

Pellissippi State on Thursday the 18th

And  Queens University of Charlotte on Tuesday the 23rd.

Anyone looking to get extra help preparing for the ACT test can sign up for the ACT Boot Camp, which will be held the first four days of Fall Break, September 29 to October 2. Sessions will be from 8-11 a.m. in the amphitheater. Each day will focus on a different section of the test. This opportunity is free, but transportation will not be provided and lunch will not be served. Sign up links are in the class Canvas pages, the iNews, and have been sent through ParentSquare. Please sign up by Friday, Sept. 19. If you have any questions, see Mr. Stebbins in CS339 or Dr. Fisher

 

SENIORS

 

 

Seniors: only one design has been submitted for the 2026 Senior Signature shirt. Get those designs in by September 18 to Mrs. Ledden in CS347. Prizes totaling $50 for front and back.

 

The 2025 QuestBridge National College Match for high school seniors is now open!  QuestBridge is a college partner program to find FULLfour-year scholarships to the nation’s top colleges for high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds.  Visit questbridge.org to learn more about the program and to apply!! Deadline for applications is Sept. 30th!!

 

 

ATHLETICS.

 

Track interest meeting will be held Wednesday 9/17 in LC 327 immediately after school.

 

Have you bought your Student Athletic Pass yet?  You can save more than $300 by purchasing this pass and go to all of the home athletic events without having to stand in line.  Passes will be on sale before school and during lunch in the Main Office – just ask for Ms. Seals.
