STUDENT INFO
Congratulations to Connor Callison the 2025-2026 recipient of the Oak Ridge High School English Department Scholarship. Connor will receive the $500 first-place award. He plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in the fall where he will major in history and sociology.
Attention Volunteer State Seal of Biliteracy recipients! On Friday, May 2nd, Mr. Moseley will take a group photo of award recipients. Please meet at the bottom of the grand staircase at 12:00 noon for the photo. You will receive your medals for graduation at this time as well. If you have any questions, please contact Sra. Today is the last day of sales for The Business Academy’s Intro to Business JA Companies. During 5th Block TODAY several of our companies will have their products set up in the upper lobby of the cafeteria to give you one last chance to purchase before we close our businesses on Monday. Calling all students! Do you want to help plan prom? Applications for the prom board are now open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors! Come by Mrs. Royster’s room anytime to pick up an application. Let’s start planning next year’s unforgettable prom together!
SENIORS
Graduation Celebration – heard about it? Senior Schedule: Honors Night, Convocation, Senior Breakfast, Graduation and finally, last, but, not least, come enjoy your party! You will have earned it! Don’t forget your chargers as you will be taking lots of pics!
Keep registering! It is not too late! Are U-18 on graduation day? If so, you must turn in a form signed by your parent/guardian as well as registering online. Everyone must register online to attend. Don’t miss out on FREE food/fun/friend time/and the chance to win prizes!
Seniors this is a friendly reminder that all IT penalty fees must be paid in full to participate in graduation. Please bring a check or cash to the main office as soon as possible to avoid any delays in your graduation.
Business Academy Seniors: you should apply for The Rotary Club of Oak Ridge Scholarship if you plan to go to a university, community college, or TCAT. You may pick up a paper copy of the application from Mrs. Ledden in CS347. The turnaround time is quick! The applications will be turned in to Dr. Cross. Please let me know if you have any questions.
CLUB INFO
This Friday, May 2nd, Class applications for the upcoming 2025-2026 Student Council Class are due. If you are interested in making a difference, helping plan events, and representing your classmates, make sure to grab a form from LC311 and bring it back to Mrs. Wagner or Mrs. Gilliland to join us! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to contribute to the school community.
Join us for a new exciting event to wrap up the school year – Sideline Social!
We will be holding a kickball and spike ball tournament, yearbook signing, face painting, water games, and Jenga. Concessions will also be available.
Come to Blankenship on May 9th from 6-8pm for an evening full of fun! Entry is free and all activities are $1.
ATHLETICS.
This Saturday, May 3rd 8:00 am – 11am in the Wildcat Arena $10 Sports Physicals provided by Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic. All Student Athletes must have a sport physical dated after April 15, 2025, to be able to participate in any ’25 – ’26 ORS Athletic Program.
